Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 742252 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Support the engine using suitable safety stands.
  3. Disconnect the engine harness (4) clip from the left side of the engine mount bracket.

  4. Disconnect the engine harness clip (2) from the right side of the engine mount bracket.

    5. Object Number: 741995 Size: SH
  5. Remove the engine front mount bracket brace nuts.

    6. Object Number: 741993 Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine front mount bracket-to-crossmember bolts, washers, and nuts.

    7. Object Number: 741994 Size: SH
  7. Remove the engine front mount bracket bolts and spacers. Discard the bolts.
  8. Remove the engine front mount bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 741994 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine front mount bracket.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the engine front mount bracket spacers and NEW bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 52 N·m (38 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine front mount bracket-to-crossmember washers, nuts, and bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 135 N·m (100 lb ft).


    Object Number: 741995 Size: SH
  4. Install the engine front mount bracket brace nuts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Connect the engine harness clip (2) to the right side of the engine mount bracket.

    6. Object Number: 742252 Size: SH
  6. Connect the engine harness clip (4) to the left side of the engine mount bracket.
  7. Remove the engine safety stands.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
