This bulletin is being revised to add model years and Isuzu model/parts information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 01-06-04-048 (Section 06 -- Engine/Propulsion System) and Isuzu Bulletin Number SB01-02-C004).
This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that an improved injection pump oil supply line is now available which will reduce the tendency to leak oil due to material fracture. For the above affected vehicles, whenever the injection pump oil supply pipe is removed, ALWAYS replace with a new oil supply pipe and banjo gaskets during installation.
Tighten
Tighten the oil feed pipe banjo bolts to 17N·m
(12 lb ft).
Important:
• The installation of a new injection pump-to-engine block oil pipe during
reinstallation is an important step to ensure against the possibility of reinstalling
a damaged pipe. • In order to prevent bending of the oil feed pipe, do not apply excessive
force to the oil feed pipe.
