Effective August 1, 2007, the current General Motors Isuzu Commercial Truck (GMICT) limited liability company will be dissolved, and GM anticipates that it will enter into a new arrangement with Isuzu effective August 1, 2007. These changes will not impact the GM Dealer Sales and Service Agreement between GM and it's medium duty dealers, and vehicles will continue to be badged Chevrolet and GMC, however GM Dealers will purchase GM badged "W"-Series vehicles directly from Isuzu.

Once finalized, there will be significant changes to the GM Medium and Isuzu Commercial Vehicle Dealer and customer support organizations, including the systems used.

This communication is being sent to help you understand these pending changes and assist in making the necessary preparations. The matrix tables below list key functions and organizational responsibilities after August 1, 2007. You will be advised of any additional changes through service bulletins as necessary.

GMC and Chevrolet

 

    • GM W-Series -- Supported by Isuzu personnel, systems and processes.
    • Diesel Engines (4HK1 and 6HK1) -- Supported by Isuzu personnel, systems and processes.
    • GM C&T Series -- Supported by GM personnel, systems and processes (with the exception of diesel engines listed above).
    • Warranty claim processing, Dealer/Customer/Parts and Technical assistance is based on the vehicle model and brand (see Support Matrix tables below).

Isuzu (U.S. Only)

 

    • Isuzu N-Series -- Supported by Isuzu personnel, systems and processes.
    • Isuzu F/H Series -- Supported by Isuzu personnel, systems and processes.
    • Diesel Engines (4HK1 and 6HK1) -- Supported by Isuzu personnel, systems and processes.
    • GM C&T Series -- Supported by GM personnel, systems and processes (with the exception of diesel engines listed above).
