Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check for Engine Electrical?

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Does the charge lamp indicator illuminate during the bulb check?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Test the charge lamp indicator circuit for a high resistance or open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 4

Inspect for poor connections at the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Inspect the charge lamp for an open and replace if necessary. Refer to Instrument Cluster Bulb Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Did you complete the replacement?
