Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 377146  Size: SH
  1. Remove the electrical connector from the engine shut-down (ESO) solenoid.
  2. Use compressed air in order to blow any dirt away from the ESO solenoid.
  3. Remove the ESO solenoid.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 377146  Size: SH
  1. Install the new O-ring on the ESO solenoid.
  2. Notice: Replacement components must be the correct part number for the application. Components requiring the use of the thread locking compound, lubricants, corrosion inhibitors, or sealants are identified in the service procedure. Some replacement components may come with these coatings already applied. Do not use these coatings on components unless specified. These coatings can affect the final torque, which may affect the operation of the component. Use the correct torque specification when installing components in order to avoid damage.

  3. Install the ESO solenoid in the injection pump.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the solenoid (external hex or internal hex) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the ESO electrical connector.
  6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
