Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  3. Remove the fender from the vehicle. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.

  4. Object Number: 800624  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolts that attach the molding to the fender.
  6. Remove the molding (1) from the fender.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 800624  Size: SH
  1. Install the molding (1) to the fender.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts that retain the molding to the fender.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m(18 lb in).

  5. Install the fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.
  6. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
