Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 747538  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery relay electrical connector.
  2. Remove the relay upper nut.
  3. Remove the positive battery cable wire from the relay.

  4. Object Number: 747546  Size: SH
  5. Reposition the boot on the lower nut.
  6. Remove the relay lower nut.
  7. Remove the positive battery cable wire from the relay.

  8. Object Number: 747260  Size: SH
  9. Remove the auxiliary battery relay bolts.
  10. Remove the auxiliary battery relay from the fender.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 747260  Size: SH
  1. Position the auxiliary battery relay against the fender.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the auxiliary battery relay bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the auxiliary battery relay bolts to 3.4 N·m (30 lb in).

  5. Install the positive battery cable wire to the relay.
  6. Install the relay lower nut.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the relay nut to 7.5 N·m (66 lb in).

  8. Position the boot on the lower nut.

  9. Object Number: 747538  Size: SH
  10. Install the positive battery cable wire to the relay.
  11. Install the relay upper nut.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the relay nut to 7.5 N·m (66 lb in).

  13. Connect the auxiliary battery relay electrical connector.
