Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 747803  Size: SH
  1. If necessary, remove the exhaust muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement .
  2. If necessary, remove the exhaust muffler front hanger bolts and hanger.

  3. Object Number: 747806  Size: SH
  4. If necessary, remove the exhaust muffler intermediate hanger bolts and hanger.

  5. Object Number: 747808  Size: SH
  6. If necessary, remove the exhaust muffler rear hanger bolts, nuts and hanger.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 747808  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. If necessary, install the exhaust muffler rear hanger, bolts, and nuts.
  2. Tighten

        • Tighten the exhaust muffler rear hanger bolts to 48 N·m (35 lb ft).
        • Tighten the exhaust muffler rear hanger nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

  3. If necessary, install the exhaust muffler intermediate hanger and bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust muffler intermediate hanger bolts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  5. If necessary, install the exhaust muffler front hanger and bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust muffler front hanger bolts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  7. If necessary, install the exhaust muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement .
  8. If necessary, install the hanger to the manifold pipe.
