The lumbar support system for the driver and passenger seat consists of the following components:

The lumbar support system is operated by a lumbar switch in each seat. Battery positive voltage is provided to the lumbar switch and ground is supplied to the lumbar pump. The lumbar pump activates when the lumbar switch is held active and battery positive voltage is supplied to the lumbar pump through the lumbar pump control circuit. This inflates an air bladder in the seat back. When the switch is released the pump stops. The air is released from the air bladder when the lumbar switch is activated in the other direction and a valve contained in the lumbar bladder opens.
