Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 747218  Size: SH
  1. Remove the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the auxiliary battery tray bolt and nut.
  3. Remove the auxiliary battery tray.

  4. Object Number: 747217  Size: SH
  5. If necessary, remove the auxiliary battery tray reinforcement bolts.
  6. If necessary, remove the auxiliary battery tray reinforcement.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 747217  Size: SH
  1. If necessary, install the auxiliary battery tray reinforcement.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. If necessary, install the auxiliary battery tray reinforcement bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the auxiliary battery tray reinforcement bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the auxiliary battery tray.
  6. Install the auxiliary battery tray bolt and nut.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the auxiliary battery tray bolt and nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement .
