Some owners of 1988-89 C/K trucks may comment regarding a lack of sufficient heat from their heaters. For improved heating, a revised heater core has been released to production after the following VIN breakpoints that will increase heater output 5 - 8 degrees F (2.5 - 4.5 degrees C).

The new heater core has 38 fins/inch verses 30 fins/inch on the old heater core. Some reduction in air flow may be noticed.
