For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the oil pump driveshaft and retainer.
- Remove the oil pump screen.
- Remove the oil pump cover bolts.
- Remove the pump cover and cover-to-body gasket.
- Match mark the driven gear (1) and drive gear (2).
- Remove the drive gear and the driven gear. Matchmark the gear teeth for assembly.
- Remove the following items:
Important: The oil pump screen has a press fit in to the oil pump cover. DO NOT remove the screen from the pipe. The pipe and screen are serviced as a complete assembly.
