Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Disassemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

1. Remove the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Pop the wire harness assembly (4) out of the wire harness strap (5).

Remove 2 wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4).

Remove 1 wire harness strap (2) from the upper tilt head assembly (1).




3. Remove the retaining ring (1).
4. Remove the SIR coil assembly (3).
5. Remove the wave washer (2).

1. Remove the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Pop the wire harness assembly (4) out of the wire harness strap (5).

Remove 2 wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4).

Remove 1 wire harness strap (2) from the upper tilt head assembly (1).




3. Remove the retaining ring (1).
4. Remove the SIR coil assembly (3).
5. Remove the wave washer (2).
