  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Turn the turn signal ON.

Do the turn signals function properly?

  1. Turn the turn signal off.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF.
  3. Remove and inspect the HAZ LP fuse.

Is the fuse open?

--

Go to Step 8

  1. Re-install the fuse.
  2. Connect a test lamp (back probe) from terminal A4 of C201A to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the open in CKT 140 (ORN) between the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC) and C201A.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

  1. Turn the hazard lights ON.
  2. Connect a test lamp (back probe) from terminal E1 of C201C to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1508 (LT BLU) between the turn/hazard switch and the turn/hazard flasher.

If no open is found, replace the turn/hazard flasher.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Locate and repair the short to ground in CKT 1508 (LT BLU) or CKT 140 (ORN).

Is the repair complete?

--
