1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs ?

Turn the park lamps ON.

Do the park lamps operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Park Lamps Inoperative

Turn the fog lamps ON.

Do the fog lamps operate properly?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Fog Lamps Inoperative - All

1. Remove the fog lamp switch from the I/P.
2. Connect a test lamp (back probe) from terminal E of the switch to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the fog lamp switch. Refer to Fog Lamp Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Locate and repair CKT 34 (PPL) for a open between the switch and the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC).

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
