1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs?

Turn the park lamps ON.

Do the park lamps function properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Park Lamps Inoperative

Turn the fog lamps ON.

Do the fog lamps function properly?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Fog Lamps Inoperative - All

1. Ensure the panel dimmer is set to maximum.
2. Disconnect the fog lamp switch. Refer to Fog Lamp Switch Replacement .
3. Connect a test lamp from terminal H to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the switch illumination lamp. Refer to Fog Lamp Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 8 (GRY) between the switch and the mid bussed electrical center (MBEC).

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
