DEFINITION: This diagnostic table should only be used if 1 mirror does not move in any direction.

1. Disconnect the inoperative power outside mirror connector.
2. Position the selector switch to the inoperative power mirror.
3. Connect a test lamp between CKT 1496 (YEL) cavity C and ground.
4. Press the switch to the up and down / right and left position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Replace the vertical and the horizontal power mirror motors. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Locate and repair open in CKT 1496 (YEL) between the inoperative outside power mirror and the power mirror switch.
2. If there is no open, replace the power mirror switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
