Circuit Description

The suspension control module performs internal checks on hardware and software (calibrations) to ensure valid operation.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Upon key on with the ignition in the ON/RUN position.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The suspension control module detects an error with its microprocessor.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • Disable all functions, EVO, rear leveling and RTD.
    • The SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message will be displayed.
    • DTC C0550 will be stored in memory.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC

The cause of the malfunction is not present upon the next key on cycle.

Using the scan tool.

Diagnostic Aids

Important:  Calibrate the suspension control module before replacement and cycle the ignition off and on to see if the DTC C0550 resets.

The replacement suspension control module must be calibrated when replacement is necessary.

  1. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
  2. Important: Perform the set up procedure (re-calibrate) for the suspension control module. Refer to Electronic Suspension Control Module Replacement .

  3. Turn OFF the ignition and wait 45 seconds.
  4. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
  5. Select the Suspension Control Module display DTCs function on the scan tool.

Does the scan tool display DTC C0550?

Important: Perform the set up procedure (re-calibrate) for the suspension control module after replacement.

Replace the suspension control module. Refer to Electronic Suspension Control Module Replacement .
