Scan Tool Data Definitions

The ABS scan tool data definitions contain a brief description of all ABS related parameters available on the scan tool. The parameters that are available on the scan tool are listed below in alphabetical order.

4WD Status: The scan tool displays 2WD/4WD. The scan tool displays 2WD when the transfer case is shifted into two wheel drive.

ABS Lamp Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the ABS indicator is being commanded on.

ABS Pump Motor: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the ABS pump motor is being commanded on.

ABS Relay Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the ABS relay is being commanded on.

ABS Stop State: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the ABS system is experiencing an ABS event.

Brake Switch Status: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the brake is applied.

Brake Warning Lamp Cmd: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the brake warning indicator is being commanded on.

Diff. Pressure Switch: The scan tool displays Ok/Low. The scan tool displays Ok when the differential pressure switch is not detecting a hydraulic pressure difference in the brake system.

Delivered Torque: The scan tool displays 25-95%. The scan tool displays 25% when the PCM is providing the minimum percentage of available torque in an attempt to eliminate wheel slip.

DRP Active: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when the DRP is active.

Left Front Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 5-257 km/h (3-160 mph). The scan tool displays 5 km/h (3 mph) when the vehicle is not moving or moving at speeds less than or equal to 5 km/h (3 mph).

LF Dump Valve Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the left front dump valve is being commanded on.

LF Dump Valve Feedback: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the left front dump valve feedback signal indicates that the left front dump valve solenoid is energized.

LF ISO Valve Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the left front isolation valve is being commanded on.

LF ISO Valve Feedback: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the left front isolation valve feedback signal indicates that the left front isolation valve solenoid is energized.

Low Traction Lamp Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the low traction indicator is being commanded on.

Rear Dump Valve Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the rear dump valve is being commanded on.

Rear Dump Valve Feedback: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the rear dump valve feedback signal indicates that the rear dump valve solenoid is energized.

Rear ISO Valve Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the rear isolation valve is being commanded on.

Rear ISO Valve Feedback: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the rear isolation valve feedback signal indicates that the rear isolation valve solenoid is energized.

Rear Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 5-257 km/h (3-160 mph) . The scan tool displays 5 km/h (3 mph) when the vehicle is not moving or moving at speeds less than or equal to 5 km/h (3 mph).

Right Front Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 5-257 km/h (3-160 mph). The scan tool displays 5 km/h (3 mph) when the vehicle is not moving or moving at speeds less than or equal to 5 km/h (3 mph).

Traction Assist Active: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when the traction assist system is active.

Traction Assist Enabled: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when the traction assist system is enabled.

Traction Assist Equipped: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when the vehicle is equipped with a traction assist system.

Traction Assist Slip: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when wheel slip is occurring.

Traction Off Lamp Command: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the traction off indicator is being commanded on.
