Electrical Theory

In order to diagnose and repair ABS malfunctions using this section, a technician must have a basic understanding of electrical theory and possess the following skills:

    • The ability to diagnose an open circuit
    • The ability to diagnose a shorted circuit
    • The ability to read a wiring schematic

Circuit Testing Tools

In order to diagnose and repair ABS malfunctions using this section, a technician must be able to recognize and use the following tools:

    • Fluke 87 DMM (J 39200)
    • 12V Unpowered Test Lamp (J 34142-B)
    • Universal Breakout Box
    • Fused Jumper Wire (J 36169)
    • Connector Test Adaptor Kit (J 35616-A)
    • Terminal Repair Kit (J 38125-B)
