Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement L35 w/ Harrison

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 363065  Size: SH
  3. Remove the refrigerant hose mounting bolt.
  4. Remove the refrigerant hose from the compressor.

  5. Object Number: 363139  Size: SH
  6. Remove the nut at the accumulator.
  7. Remove the hose from the accumulator.
  8. Remove the upper radiator baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.

  9. Object Number: 363062  Size: SH
  10. Remove the nut at the condenser.
  11. Remove the hose from the condenser.
  12. Disconnect the automatic recirculation electrical connector from the compressor/condenser hose.

  13. Object Number: 363065  Size: SH
  14. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor/condenser hose assembly.
  15. Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap the system openings.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 363060  Size: SH
  1. Install the A/C compressor/condenser hose assembly.

  2. Object Number: 363062  Size: SH
  3. Install the hose to the condenser using new sealing washers.
  4. Connect the automatic recirculation electrical connector to the compressor/condenser hose.
  5. Install the upper radiator baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the nut at the condenser.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  9. Install the hose to the accumulator using new sealing washers.
  10. Install the nut at the accumulator.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  12. Install the refrigerant hose mounting bolt.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  14. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  15. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .

Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement LR4, LM7, LQ4 w/ Harrison

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 363056  Size: SH
  3. Remove the refrigerant hose mounting bolt.
  4. Remove the refrigerant hose from the compressor.

  5. Object Number: 363139  Size: SH
  6. Remove the nut at the accumulator.
  7. Remove the hose from the accumulator.
  8. Remove the upper radiator baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.

  9. Object Number: 363062  Size: SH
  10. Remove the nut at the condenser.
  11. Remove the hose from the condenser.
  12. Disconnect the automatic recirculation electrical connector from the compressor/condenser hose.

  13. Object Number: 363056  Size: SH
  14. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor/condenser hose assembly.
  15. Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap the system openings.

    Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  13. Install the refrigerant hose mounting bolt.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  15. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  16. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
