Remove the horn relay from the engine wiring harness junction block.

Does the horn stop sounding?

Connect a test lamp from the control circuit to fused battery positive voltage.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the horn switch connector in the steering wheel.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the horn switch terminal (feed side) to fused battery.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the short to fused battery positive voltage in the horn relay output circuit between the engine wiring harness junction block and the left horn or the right horn (w/ RPO V22).

Did you complete the repair?

Repair a short to ground in the horn relay control circuit between the horn switch and the horn relay or in the horn brush/slip ring.

Replace the horn relay.
