Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the hood.
  2. Remove the headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  3. Remove the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  4. Object Number: 331104  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the horn electrical connector.
  6. Remove the horn attaching bolt. Reposition the park/turn signal lamp wiring harness for additional clearance.
  7. Remove the horn (2) from the radiator support (1). Left side and right side horn assemblies are shown.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the horn (2) to the radiator support (1). Left side and right side horn assemblies are shown.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the horn attaching bolt.
  4. The horn should have the black side facing forward on the vehicle.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the horn electrical connector.
  6. Install the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  7. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Lower the hood.
