Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Disconnect the affected heated seat switch.

Does the seat stop heating?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the appropriate heated seat switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

--

1. Test for an short to voltage on the heated seat switch signal circuit - right seat or the heated seat switch signal circuit - left seat.
2. If no open is found, replace the electronic switching relay and wiring on the affected seat.
