Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .

  4. Remove the outboard seat belt anchor nut. Pull the belt through the seat cushion.

  5. Object Number: 378531  Size: SH
  6. Remove the front nuts (2) on the underside of the seat cushion.

  7. Object Number: 407184  Size: SH
  8. Unsnap the lumbar cable (6) (disconnect the lumbar wire harness if equipped with power lumbar).

  10. Lift the seat cushion up off the rear plastic holders (1) on the underside of the seat cushion, and pull forward.
  11. Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement .

  13. Remove the lumbar actuator (5).

  15. Unclip the seat trim cover from the seat cushion frame.

  16. Object Number: 386196  Size: SH
  17. Using a side motion, carefully separate the seat cushion trim cover from the seat cushion pad.
  18. Remove the pad from the seat cushion frame.
  19. Remove the seat cushion heater element, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Cushion Heater Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat cushion heater element, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Cushion Heater Replacement .
  2. Install the seat cushion pad to the seat cushion frame.

  3. Object Number: 386196  Size: SH
  4. Using a side motion, carefully pull the seat cushion cover onto the frame pad.

  5. Object Number: 386197  Size: SH
  6. Attach the seat trim cover to the seat cushion frame.

  7. Object Number: 407184  Size: SH
  8. Install the lumbar actuator (5).
  9. Install the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement .

  10. Object Number: 378531  Size: SH
  11. Place the cushion on the rear plastic holders (1) on the underside of the seat cushion, and push rearward.

  12. Object Number: 407184  Size: SH
  13. Connect the lumbar cable to the underside of the seat cushion (6). Connect the lumbar wire harness (if equipped with power lumbar).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  15. Install the front nuts (2) onto the studs on the underside of the cushion.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the front nuts to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  17. Feed the seat belt through the seat cushion.

  19. Install the outboard seat belt anchor nut.
  20. Tighten
    Tighten the outboard seat belt anchor nut to 53 N·m (39 lb ft).

  21. Install the seat trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .
  22. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
