For 1990-2009 cars only

There are 4 reversible motors that operate the power seats. One motor raises or lowers the front of the seat. One motor raises or lowers the rear of the seat. The third motor moves the seat forward or backward. Included with the memory seats is a recliner motor which moves the rear seat back at various positions. To set the memory positions, adjust the driver seat to suit and select the set button to RCL 1 or RCL 2. The driver seat will now adjust to the predetermined positions. The memory seat will be inoperative if the memory seat module receives a automatic shift lock control signal. This will not allow the driver seat to adjust to a preset position while the vehicle is in motion. Power is supplied from the SEAT CB fuse (located in the fuse block) to the left and the right power seat switches via the battery positive voltage circuit. The ground path is provided via the memory seat module ground circuit to G304. The direction the motor operates depends on the polarity of the supply voltage. When the up/down or the forward/rearward switches are operated, the power and ground paths are reversed respectfully causing the motor to run in both directions. You can service the forward/rearward and the recliner motors individually. Service the front and rear tilt motors as one assembly.
