Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement 4.8 L, 5.3 L, and 6.0 L Engines
Removal Procedure
- If necessary, remove the
engine sight shield. Refer to
Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
- Remove the generator. Refer to
Generator Replacement
in Engine Electrical.
- Reposition the coolant air bleed hose clamp at the throttle body.
- Remove the coolant air bleed hose from the throttle body.
- If equipped with the 4 point pipe, reposition the hose clamp at the
pipe.
- Remove the coolant air bleed hose (2) from the pipe (1).
- If equipped with the 2
point pipe, reposition the hose clamp at the pipe.
- Remove the coolant air bleed hose (2) from the pipe (1).
Installation Procedure
- If equipped with the 2
point pipe, install the coolant air bleed hose (2) to the pipe (1).
- Position the hose clamp at the pipe.
- If equipped with the 4 point pipe, install the coolant air bleed hose
(2) from the pipe (1).
- Position the hose clamp at the pipe.
- Install the coolant air
bleed hose to the throttle body.
- Position the coolant air bleed hose clamp at the throttle body.
- Install the generator. Refer to
Generator Replacement
in Engine Electrical.
- If necessary, install the engine sight shield. Refer to
Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical
- 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
- Add engine coolant, if necessary.
