Service VME - LQ4 LQ9 6.0 Engine - Aggressive Throttle Response - accelerate pedal performance

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some customers may comment that their vehicle exhibits a (jumpy) response ( aggressive launch ) during low speed, parking lot maneuvers. Some success has been reported by replacing the accelerator pedal with the new designed 2003 pedal (P/N 15177923). This new pedal will provide incremental improvement in throttle progression at low speeds in trucks equipped with LQ4/LQ9 engines.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
