Subject: Inoperative AC system or Lack of Cooling

Models:.

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

A customer may experience an inoperative A/C system or lack of cooling condition. Inspect the A/C suction line for a rub through condition at the turbo outlet to the intercooler coupler connection.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect the two hose clamps for proper orientation on the blue coupler from the turbo charger outlet to the intercooler. You may find the clamps installed at the 12 o'clock position leading to the rub through at the suction line. The orientation of the threaded stud, from the hose clamp, should be facing the 2 o'clock position toward the drivers fender. If this is found, replace the A/C hose and then loosen/rotate the clamps to the 2 o'clock position out of the path of A/C line. The new suction hose should have a protective plastic sleeve over the hose in the area of the coupler.

.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
