Tools Required

J 8062 Valve Spring Compressor

  1. Remove the spark plugs.
  2. Remove the coolant temperature gauge sensor from the right cylinder head.

    3. Object Number: 34468 Size: SH
  3. Disassemble the valve keys as follows:
    4. 3.1. Compress the valve springs with the J 8062 .
    3.2. Remove the valve keys.
    3.3. Remove the J 8062 .

    Object Number: 35216 Size: SH
  4. Remove the caps, the springs, and the rotators.
  5. Remove the valve stem oil seals.
  6. Remove the valves.

    7. Place the valves in a rack to ensure that the valves are returned to the original locations at assembly.

  7. Remove the remaining valves and the components.
