    Object Number: 64527  Size: MH
  1. Install the exhaust manifold studs.
  2. Tighten
    The studs to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the gasket.
  4. Install the exhaust manifold.
  5. Install the nuts.
  6. Tighten
    The nuts to 30 N·m (15 lb ft).

  7. Install the spark plug heat shields and nuts.
  8. Tighten
    The nuts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  9. Install the spark plug wire boots to the spark plugs.
  10. Install the EGR valve inlet pipe to the intake manifold.
  11. Install the EGR valve inlet pipe to the left exhaust manifold.
