Caution : The water/diesel fuel mixture is flammable. The water/diesel fuel mixture
could be hot. In order to help avoid personal injury and property damage,
do not touch the fuel coming from the drain hose. Also do not expose the fuel
to open flames or sparks.
Be sure you do not overfill the container. Heat (such as from the engine
) can cause the fuel to expand. If the container is too full, fuel could be
forced out of the container. This could lead to the risk of personal injury
and vehicle damage.
- Open the air bleed
valve on top of the fuel manager/filter.
- Connect a hose to the
air bleed valve located on the top of the fuel manager/filter.
- Place the other end of the hose into a suitable container.
- Remove the FUEL SOL fuse.
- Crank the engine in 10 to 15 second intervals until the clear
fuel is observed at the air bleed hose (wait for one minute between cranking
intervals in order to cool down the starter motor).
- Close the air bleed valve.
- Install the FUEL SOL fuse.
- Start the engine.
- Allow the engine to run for 5 minutes at idle.
- Check for any fuel leaks.
- Clear all of the engine DTCs.
