Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear servo assembly from the transmission case.
  2. Refer to

    (61)Rear Servo Cover Bolt
    (62)Rear Servo Cover
    (63)Rear Servo Cover Gasket
    (64)Bottom Retaining Clip
    (65)Rear Servo Piston
    (66)Accumulator Piston Outer Ring Oil Seal
    (67)Accumulator Piston Inner Ring Oil Seal
    (68)Rear Accumulator Piston
    (69)Reverse Servo Piston Seal
    (70)Servo Piston Washer
    (71)Rear Servo Spring
    (72)Rear Piston Spring Retainer
    (73)Rear Band Apply (Selective Pin)
    (74)Rear Accumulator Spring
    as needed.

  3. Check the pins. Refer to Low and Reverse Band Servo Piston Pin Check .
  4. Disassemble the rear servo accumulator. Refer to Low and Reverse Band Servo Assembly Assemble .

Installation Procedure

Refer to the following transmission component locator graphic as needed:

  1. Assemble the rear servo accumulator, if needed. Refer to Low and Reverse Band Servo Assembly Installation .
  2. Install the rear accumulator spring in the case bore.
  3. Install the following parts:
  4. 3.1. A new gasket
    3.2. The cover
    3.3. The six bolts using a 10-mm socket.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 Ib ft).
