SOME OWNERS OF THE ABOVE VEHICLES MAY REPORT A SLIGHT FUEL LEAK FROM THE FUEL VAPOR CANISTER OR MORE LIKELY THE SMELL OF GASOLINE IF THE VAN HAS A FULL TANK OF FUEL AND PARKED ON AN INCLINE WITH ITS FRONT LOWER THAN ITS REAR.
THE FRONT ROLLOVER VALVE, LOCATED IN THE ROLLOVER VALVE ASSEMBLY ON TOP OF THE FUEL TANK, MAY STICK OPEN IN A NEAR VERTICLE UPRIGHT POSITION. THIS MAY NOT BLOCK FUEL FLOW FROM THE TANK TO THE FUEL VAPOR CANISTER UNDER THE ABOVE CONDITIONS.
REPLACE THE FUEL VAPOR CANISTER AND THE ROLLOVER VALVE ASSEMBLY, WHICH INCLUDES BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR VALVES, FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURES DESCRIBED IN SECTION 6E OF THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUAL. THE ROLLOVER VALVE ASSEMBLY CAN BE REMOVED BY LIGHTLY PRESSING DOWN AND THE ROTATING IT 1/4 TURN COUNTER CLOCKWISE.
THE ROLLOVER VALVE ASSEMBLY IS SERVICED BY GMSPO AS A PIPE/VALVE ASSEMBLY.
