REAR SPRING NOISE (INSTALL RUBBER RING ON LOWER LEAF SPRING

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988 C 1-2, K1-2 -----------------

Some 1988 Cl-2 and Kl-2 models May experience a noise from the rear leaf springs. This noise is more noticeable on rough roads. The cause of the noise is a metal to metal contact between the main leaf spring pack and the lower leaf spring.

This condition can be corrected by installing a rubber ring on each end of the left and right lower leaf. spring, It may be necessary to raise the vehicle by the frame to install the rubber rings. The rubber rings should be positioned three (3) inches from each end of the leaf spring.
