Some owners of 1988-1991 C/K trucks built with a sliding rear window (RPO A28) may comment about water leaks and wind noise from the lower glass run channel and glass rattling in the upper glass run channel.
To correct, it is necessary to replace the lower and the upper glass run channels. The new lower glass run channel has nine off-setting drain holes and a felt-like material has been added to the upper channels.
1. Remove lower glass run channel.
2. Remove upper glass run channels.
3. Install lower glass run channel.
4. Install upper glass run channels.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
