Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1999 🢒 Chevy K Pickup - 4WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 7.4L 🢒 Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the oil filter from the adapter from the engine block. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

    3. Object Number: 70416 Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil filter adapter fittings(2 wheel drive) from the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Removal .

    4. Object Number: 70415 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil filter adapter (4 wheel drive) from the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Removal .

    5. Object Number: 70414 Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil filter bypass valve from the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Removal .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 70414 Size: SH
  1. Install the bypass valve in the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation .

    2. Object Number: 70416 Size: SH
  2. Install the oil filter adapter (2 wheel drive) to the engine block.

    3. Object Number: 70415 Size: SH
  3. Install the oil filter adapter (4WD) to the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation in Engine Mechanical.
  4. Install the oil filter to the adapter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
