Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement Base
Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors, as needed.
- Disconnect the amplifier (2) from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the amplifier
(2) to the bracket.
- Connect the electrical connectors, as needed.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
Inspect the circuit operation.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the negative battery cable.
- Remove the front floor console from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement
.
- Remove the amplifier screws.
- Remove the amplifier from the console through the bottom of the
console.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the amplifier.
Installation Procedure
- Install the electrical
connector to the amplifier.
- Install the amplifier to the console.
- Install the amplifier to console screws (4).
Tighten
Tighten the amplifier to console screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the front floor console to the vehicle. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement
.
- Install the negative battery cable.
