🢒 Fuel Pressure Service Valve Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to
Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical.
Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to
Fuel Pressure Relief
.
Clean the area around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.
Remove the fuel pressure connection core (24) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.
Installation Procedure
Install the fuel pressure connection core assembly (24) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.
Tighten the fuel filler cap.
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
Use the following procedure in order to inspect for leaks:
4.1.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF, for 2 seconds.
4.2.
Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
4.3.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4.4.
Inspect for fuel leaks.
Install the fuel pressure connection valve cap (23).
Install the engine sight shield. Refer to
Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical.
