1-2-3-4, 4-5 Clutch Housing Bushing Replacement Installation

Tools Required

1. Position rotating clutch housing (4) on a press so that the front of the housing is facing up.

Important: The preferred method for installing the rotating clutch housing bushing is to use the J 43778 and a press. If a press is not available, use the J 43778 and the J 8092 universal driver.

2. If the bushing will be installed without a press, install the large end of J 43778 (2) onto J 8092 (1).
3. Install a new bushing (3) onto J 43778 (2).
4. Using J 8092 , press or drive the new bushing into the clutch housing.

Install
Install the bushing flush to 0.25 mm (0.010 inch) below the rotating clutch housing surface.
