When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some customers may comment that their light duty (1500/ 2500 Series with JC3) full size pickup has an ABS light on and the ABS pump motor continues to run even when the ignition is in the off position and the key is removed. Sets a DTC C0267 code (ABS pump motor circuit). Root cause appears to be a short circuit of a diode in the pump motor circuit. Supplier stock and process corrected on October 31, 2003. Fix is to replace the EBCM (P/N 88982942).

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
