03 Chevrolet Silverado/Express - GMC Sierra/Savana Intermittent Airbag Telltale , Sets a False DTC of B0083 and/or B0084 -kw activated air calibration code indicator intermittent lamp

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Brief or intermittent airbag telltale", which sets a false DTC of B0083 and or B0084.

This effects Vehicles built in July and August 2002, Light Duty, GVWR < 8600" manual" or" power" front" seats.

Possible Customer Complaints:

1 Airbag telltale illuminated for a short period (about 10 seconds) of time.

2 Airbag telltale illuminated for a short period while adjusting the front driver/passenger seat.

3 Airbag telltale illuminated for a short period (about 10 seconds) of time.

SDM software changes have been implemented into production and SPO parts inventory. To correct this condition, replace the SDM from SPO parts inventory.
