Light Utility Vehicle Wheeled (LUVW) Vehicles - Canada Only -- keyword MILCOTS (Militarized Commercial Off the Shelf)

Important:  This service bulletin is applicable to "GM of Canada" dealers ONLY. "U.S." dealers should refer to bulletin # 99-00-89-015D.

Concluding in December 2004, GM Defence has delivered to Canada Department National Defence (DND) vehicles that have been specially modified. These vehicles can include some or all of the following modifications:

LUVW Cable Layer

Standard vehicle warranty terms with "New Vehicle Limited Warranty" coverage of 36 months or 60,000 km. This INCLUDES all of the specialty equipment installed by GM as listed above.

Special upfit parts are not available from GMSPO. To order parts, refer to http://gmfleet.com/us/about/tools/index.html. Select the "LSSV/EMP Parts Ordering" tab. If the web is unavailable, you can call 1-810-239-0442 to order upfit parts. Cable Layer body and equipment service parts can only be obtained from Commercial Body Company at 1-800-665-6126.

Special labour operations have been established for use for the unique military equipment only. These are straight time operations only. Apply standard parts markup to net item field. Detailed comments are required on all claims submitted to include failure and correction information. Use these labour operations in accordance with GM Policy and Procedures.
