Spare Tire Replacement In Vehicle

Caution: Be careful not to drop tire and wheel assemblies on your hands and feet. Lift properly, using your legs as well as your body. Tires and wheels are heavy and can cause injury if not handled correctly.

1. Remove the wheel nut (4) and washer (1).
2. Remove the spare tire retainer (2).
3. With the aid of an assistant remove the spare tire (3) from the vehicle.

1. With the aid of an assistant, place the tire (3) into the carrier.
2. Install the retainer (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the washer (1) and wheel nut (4).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to allow a minimum of 5 visible threads on the stud.
