Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1703383 Size: SH
  1. Open the vehicle hood.
  2. Remove the reinforcement bolt (2).
  3. Remove the fender support bolt (1).
  4. Using a flat bladed tool, separate the lower (4) reinforcement from the bonding adhesive securing them to the fender.
  5. Remove the lower reinforcement (4) from the fender.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1703383 Size: SH
  1. Remove any old panel bonding adhesive from the fender.
  2. Apply panel bonding adhesive (5) to the upper and lower reinforcements.
  3. Install lower reinforcement (4) onto the fender.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the fender bolt (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the reinforcement bolt (2).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Close the vehicle hood. Verify correct fender alignment.
