Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1707323 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information in 2005 C/K Truck Service Manual.
  2. Remove the brace bolt (3).
  3. Remove the plastic retainer (1).
  4. Remove the screws (2).
  5. Remove the mud guard (4) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1707323 Size: SH
  1. Install the mud guard (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the plastic retainer (1).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the brace bolt (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the brace bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the screws (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information in 2005 C/K Truck Service Manual.
