Heater Water Valve Replacement Ambulance Body

1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.

Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information in the 2005 C/K Truck Service Manual.



3. Loosen the hose clamps (2) from the heater water shut off valve inlet and outlet.
4. Remove the inlet and outlet hose from the heater water valve.
5. Disconnect the heater water shut off valve wiring.
6. Remove the heater water shut off valve retaining bolts (1).
7. Remove the heater water shut off valve.

1. Install the heater water shut off valve.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




2. Install the heater water shut off valve retaining bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

3. Connect the heater water shut off valve wiring.
4. Reposition and tighten the hose clamps (2) on the heater water shut off valve inlet and outlet.
5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information in the 2005 C/K Truck Service Manual.
6. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
