Brake Dust Accumulation - kw GMT800 disc front rear appearance wheel wear pedal

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

The 2005 Silverado and Sierra 1500 series trucks are equipped with a new front disc/rear drum brake configuration, except for SS Silverado and Denali pickups (all wheel drive). This new brake system will provide improved brake pedal feel and shorten stopping distances. With this brake configuration, some owners may comment on brake dust accumulation on the front wheels.

This is a normal concerns and no repairs should be made.
