Sunroof Screen Wrinkles - keywords appearance CF5 close open shade

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

Some customers may comment that the sunroof shade/screen has a wavy or wrinkled appearance, usually at the rear of the sunroof screen.

Before replacing the sunroof screen, it may be possible to eliminate the wrinkles by applying heat (via heat gun), on low heat setting and held at least four inches from the screen while constantly moving the heat gun to prevent the screen material from melting.

Note: It would be possible for wrinkles to reappear if the customer were to push the sun screen up from the center of screen which could stretch the fabric and wrinkles could return.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
