INSTANCES OF HOSE RUPTURE LEADING TO OIL RESERVOIR SUPPLY DISCHARGE AND EVENTUAL ENGINE DAMAGE HAVE BEEN REPORTED. HOSE, P/N 3757075, IS BEING REVIEWED FOR DESIGN INTEGRITY AS A RESULT OF SEVERAL ENGINE FAILURES BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION. HOSES INSPECTED ON CUSTOMERS' UNITS AND FOUND TO BE SUSPECT SHOULD BE REPLACED AND RETURNED TO PRODUCT SERVICE. REPORTS DOCUMENTING HIGH DEALERSHIP OR FLEET USAGE OF THE SUBJECT HOSE ARE ALSO REQUESTED. ENGINEERING HAS INITIATED CHANGES WHICH WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING HOSE WITH A HIGHER GRADE MATERIAL. THE FOLLOWING PART NUMBERS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT. P/N 375075 (8.2L) P/N 3902763 (3208 CAT.) REPLACEMENT OF THESE HOSES CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY UTILIZING A CUT TO LENGTH SECTION OF P/N 8885549, HOSE, AND (2) FITTINGS, P/N 791101. EFFECTIVE POINTS WILL BE PUBLISHED WHEN AN UPGRADED HOSE ASSEMBLY IS RELEASED FOR PRODUCTION.
